Haha, interesting experience-filled day to add to the memoir of my life. Today I got to learn how to handle a "rock star." As you may know, the ASG was charged (literally) with providing the bands for Springfest 2011: and while I made recommendations such as Bruno Mars , Travie McCoy , and the Far East Movement -- in the end we ended up with Shwayze, Cisco & Urban Crush . I wasn't too pleased, my main intention was to get someone with name recognition like Kent always manages to get (Bruno Mars, Drake, 3Oh!3...) but alas, we ended up having to go with someone approved by the University's student entertainment division or something? I dunno. He's disappointed he didn't get to meet Zippy. The story gets interesting when newly-appointed (for the last week) ASG Vice President Kenny was looking for someone to pick them up from the airport. Always eager to help, I volunteered. I had to find 5 pals (which ended up being 3 people from ASG, a housemate, ...

Andrew's log, Korea, Saturday June 27th - Day 01. I am presently in a Starbucks at Seoul Gimpo airport, enjoying an "iced orange black" (i presume tea.) Though they have free wifi, you need to be a Korean citizen (and have a draft registration number...) to access it. The trip here so far has been largely stressless, thank God. (P.S. The American song "can you believe, they put a man on the moon..." is playing. In English. How odd.) Delta Airlines was average by all measures. Korean Airlines was very hospitable, as Mrs. Marx said they would be! The touchscreen built into my seat was kind of annoying, but I was glad it existed at all for my 13 hour plane ride from Atlanta to Seoul Incheon! During those 13 hours, I slept for 2 hours, had two meals (Chicken and Beef, the chicken came with a side of sushi I tried and did not like.) Haha, I was totally offered wine but declined. Yeah, nothing particularly of note happened today. Wanted to sleep in but had to be up for my 8-10am shift, then got Rob's, took a nap before my 1:45 class only to wake up at like 1:35 and still have to like shower and change. Watched a movie on Lewis and Clark in history, then College Dems at 4:30, then went and visited Patsy at the Circle K office. "Is there a board meeting in the office?" "No, but I'm in the office and I'm bored!" lol. Went to get Starbucks, only to screw up my order ("Apple Chai frappuchino with whipped cream and carmel drizzle." Not supposed to have added the "frappuchino" part.) The lady got GRRR-angry at me, lol, so I'm thinking I'm gonna steer clear of Starbucks for a while. Then the Circle K meeting went well, and we went to Denny's afterward for some more fun! Actually, as a result of this experience I'm moving Starbucks back into the "Active Lentan Items"... Nah, don't know what the heck I'm talking about, but I'm at work at the desk and feel like continuing my birthday list count-up. 4. The First Season of Veronica Mars on DVD . One of my favorite shows ever, Veronica's wit and humor is the stuff I aspire to be. Not to mention she solves mysteries! You can't get cooler than all that combined into one.
