Well, it's been a long time coming - but Circle K's Ohio District Convention (DCON) has finally come and gone. And once again, this year was hugely successful for the University of Akron Circle K! We came away with no less than 10 awards, including Outstanding Secretary, Outstanding Treasurer, 2nd Place Outstanding Vice-President, and Outstanding President (for myself, woohoo!) We also got first place in service hours with over 2,000, thanks hugely to Melissa's biking across the country this past summer. But even without her project, we'd still have been a hundred or so over our nearest competitor. But Circle K is not all about awards. Lets look back: Friday, I packed my stuff and cleaned out my car so that I, Divya and Vince could drive the 4 hour drive to Dayton. For some, this was a 3 hour drive - but we had to stop in Wooster to drive the Woosterites and that pulled us off course a bit. I just like starting blogs with images, but it seems they always get pushed back till later. Random, I know, but eh, whatdyagonna do? ps: wtf!?@pic btw, lol. So had an awesome week+weekend, party at Kayla's was fun, Saturday hanging with the gang and visitor from Rio Jason was fun, went to the end of the year barbecue at the Kent State's Kiwanians house with Jen, Jason, Kayla and Sarah. Then Sunday was fun, got to FINALLY eat at the infamous "Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse" and unfortunately, it was kinda disappointing. The show was awesome, and the service was great (except for the waitress who I pissed off by being knowledgeable about Japanese things!) but the food was only average IMO. I would prefer cheap, next-to-Dave's Chinese food over them by far. But definitely something to do on special occasions :) Great way to have a last week...

Now for some 'bonus features'esque pictures you won't see on Facebook! So Sunday morning for Breakfast, the Key Club Governor Zach was handing out bunches of awards. Me and Jen quickly caught on that in every single picture he had this funny look with his teeth showing and eyes closed - lol, no offense Zach, but we found it entertaining. EVERY picture! So we decided to take some "Zach pix" of our own... Yeah, I won't tell the story of the whole weekend verbatim... but those are some interesting tidbits. Well, Kayla had her 21st Birthday on 1/23/2009 - and it was interesting, definitely. A bunch of the Garfield people came, and a couple Akron Circle K'rs too, and some of Jesse's friends. Best Birthday wishes to Kayla, I truly hope this year and all future ones are blessed with happier and less stressful moments than those that filled her party. :/ My passport seems to have come in, at least I hope so. Even though I work 12-4am tonight, I'll be waking up at 8:30am to welcome mom with a dozen packages - mostly text books. One of which I should have a chapter read by my 11:00 class, so maybe I'll get some redbull, haven't had any since last semester. Though I hate having redbull on an empty stomach, and I never have breakfast, I just seem to have lost my appetite lately. Redbull on an empty stomach just causes me to have this weird kinda shake that can't be healthy. Though, redbull-less, I'm kinda going through that lately too. So I have so much to say to some...
