This will be a blurb post: while meandering the internet as I often do, I came across a magnificent movie/TV Prop blog "Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props" - and while perusing it, I came across a Bedknobs and Broomsticks reference I was not at all expecting! I look closer, and we have a never-before-seen page from the spellbook from the movie! Anyone who knows me knows I love owning props that make fiction seem realistic -- and the king of those props in my eyes are spellbooks. I was mystified and entranced by magic growing up, which is why Bedknobs and Broomsticks is one of my favorite movies, and Sabrina and Charmed are some of my favorite TV shows. Apparently, "The Spells of Astoroth" is on display at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library in Simi Valley, California. I have to make it my goal to get to this exhibit before it leaves in April 2013!

(retroactive back-blogging) Even though it's been [it was] my day to relax, I've been pretty stressed for a number of different reasons. Mom is a few of the reasons. And she insisted on asking me a dozen times to go see Lion King in 3D with her, and figuring this would be my last chance to see it in theaters  -- I finally gave in. Annoying-ness aside, I haven't watched Lion King (paying attention) in like 15+ years - and I didn't really remember most of it, enough of it to appreciate seeing it again. After the previews for bad upcoming movies, there were several things I learned: 1. Scar is Jafar. It's like the exact same character. I had to google to confirm they're not the same voice actor (their not - Scar is Jeremy Irons, Jafar is Jonathan Freeman.) The whole story is really just Aladdin had Jasmine been a boy. 2. James Earl Jones has the most epic voice in history. Seriously, he is like the best narrator in history. In fact, I think he is the voi...

So for various reasons I was googling screen caps from one of my favorite Disney movies, Beauty and the Beast, and I found this super-awesome IMDB website of Voice Actors for cartoons . So I'm going to blow your mind with some revealing Voice Actor revelations.... Did I mention they have voice clips of each individual character too!? Belle was boring and this was her only voice acting. But the Beast was voiced by Robby Benson, known to Patsy & Blondie I'm sure as Sabrina's (first) dad ! (Later replaced by the Clueless girl's second dad.) Actually, let me draw you a diagram... And then Robbie Benson as Sabrina's father was replaced by Doug Sheehan , who played the Dad on Clueless ... But that was after HE replaced Clueless dad #1 (from the TV series), played by Michael Lerner. (This is ignoring the movie , which had it's own dad.)
