Well, just before Christmas the Am-Vets people came to take clothing donations -- so I went through my clothes to donate what I could, and what I don't wear, and anything that maybe just got so old I can't pull it off anymore. Well, to procrastinate getting anything done today - one of my last days of Break and before New Years, I thought it would be interesting to do a quick inventory of ALL OF my clothes, lol. Vulcan Medical Poster project

Image
Hello avid reader! Whether you care or not, I'm going to talk about: the fact that the Vulcan medical poster I've been working on is complete! I'm so excited :D I'm sure you know by now that I love things that make fiction seem real -- and in line with this, I've always wanted my own Star Trek props!!! Since the actual ones can go for thousands of dollars, and I am a poor college student, I must be creative and make my own: and designing a poster is pretty easy, especially when I've been practicing with Inkscape and Vector art for the last year. (To the right of the right-most Vulcan's head) Screen cap from "Stigma" This idea started as a poster seen in the background of the ST: Enterprise episode "Stigma" at the Vulcan offices at an alien Medical Conference. It may have been reused again in a later episode , in the background of a Vulcan ship's sickbay. (Oh hey look, it was!) (To the left of T'Pol's head on ...

Lazy, or just Tired?

Image
Well my day has gone pretty well! :D With the exception of being massivly sleep deprived on the eve of an important lunch meeting, and the eve-eve of a crazy long drive for Circle K, all and all it's balanced by the great things that've happened - including finally finding some interested people for District Positions and getting my PRAXIS II results back! n.n AHHhhhH! I was worried I'd have to take this thing 3 times like the horror stories I've heard. A 200 is a perfect score, and a 157 is required to pass. I got a 182! That's the equivalent of a 91%! And look at that average - I got an above average, and when broken down into sections, I got like top of average score or higher in most categories! Ahhhh! What a good day! Song of the Day: "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars. While this may not outline what I'm doing, it's sure what I'd like to do. This is a great, lazy, transition between Spring and Summer song. I can see playing this as su...

3 Restaurants in NYC

Image
Haha, so broken-Sarah and I are watching Top Chef (again!) this time Top Chef: All Stars . And my favorite character (Marcel) is back! He got cheated out of winning Season 2 (which we were watching the other day in a marathon. I've noticed Cable is nothing but marathons...) But he was, according to Wikipedia, offered a SyFy channel cooking show ? Anyway... Bahahaha, I couldn't help but make this comparison cause it kept jumping out at me when I was watching the show the other day. Low and behold, I'm not the only one who's thought this before! Bravo's seen the resemblance (or at least noted it) and so did other people , whom I stole elements of the above pic from. Anyway... This challenge is about going to famous awesome restaurants in New York City , then creating a dish the restaurant's owner would want to put on their menu. So I'm googling all the restaurants so that next time I go to NYC I can go to them, regardless of how expensive they are. ...
