So, that was 2012 huh...

Well, that year had it's ups and downs, but I think was a pretty un-interesting year overall actually. Sure I got a lot done, but I just don't feel that sense of excitement and adventure I always hope for. I student taught (man, that seems like forever ago), finished being Circle K Governor, graduated with much family and friend hoopla, went to New Orleans for Circle K and got my wallet stolen, went to the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas; went to my first Anime convention in Maryland, met the Green Power Ranger; picked up Patsy from Camp, visited the Jersey Shore and D.C.; passed the Foreign Service Officer exam; worked on Senator Brown's re-election campaign down in Chillicothe, got him reelected (woohoo!) paid my credit cards down to zero with the earnings from that, now in the process of getting my student loans taken care of so I have no debt to my name going into early 2013. Got myself a PS3, a new phone, mom got me a digital pictu...

I- I- I- I work out!

Happy New Year! Well, my new year's celebration was ridiculous - and was also likely attended by anyone who would read this blog and actually care about what I did. But on the off chance otherwise, Patsy, Jen, Panda and I had a blast down in the valley getting Otani's Hibachi and then partying it up all night. More funny quotes than I can remember were said, and at the end of the night we had a rather odd experience getting a taxi home . But we all made it back in once piece, that's pretty important! Well, today was Craft Day part 2, where we all come over my house and do crafts! (Like a play date. For camp counselors and old ladies.) During which I worked on my family album, which I would really like to make actual progress on sometime... oh wellz. But it reminded me of a few things from my Dad's adventures that I have always wanted to search for on the goo-goo . In the 70s, my dad went out to live on his own in California because he wanted to be a professional...

Happy New Year!

What's my New Year's Resolution? I want to be less ashamed of my family. For years I've been pi$$ed off at their antics and shenanigans visit after visit. But this year I want to be able to invite people over unafraid that mom is wearing hand-me-down guys' clothes, covered in bleach stains or the most recent development of disgust that I WON'T EVEN MENTION! Lets just say next time I go home, I am DEFINITELY taking mom clothes shopping! But back to positives, had a fun night partying with the roommates at our house in Akron. This is Kat's last (and really our only) big party at this house! Eh, maybe not the MOST successful party, but I think we got what we were goin for. Video of the Day: This video is technically an upcoming movie, but lets just split it into two: THE Upcoming Toy Story 3 preview has been released ! It sound average, but I'll definitely see it. Upcoming Movie of the Day: This preview is odd, and there's an entire news article about how...

2009 Year in Review

Image
Well, it's December 1st - the first day of the last month of the year. To some, time goes by unnoticed except for the fact that we'll be celebrating Christmas break, Christmas, and New Years Eve soon. But I'm a historian, one interested in the past and the future - and how the future will look back at us. If November is any indication, December is gonna fly past faster than any of us are ready for! A new day in America First, lets look back at what happened in the year 2009: Barack Obama was inaugurated as America's first Black President, Hillary became Secretary of State, and Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska so she can just fly around and bother the rest of us, the Swine Flu pandemic swept the globe and invaded the vocabulary of everyone on Earth, those American reporters were arrested in North Korea - and later released with Bill Clinton's help, the 2016 Olympics were decided for Rio de Janeiro, President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize before his time, ...

I'm B-akron!

Well, sorry readers I haven't posted all break. Trust me, I tried, desperately, but at home I have dial-up and for some reason as of break, Dial up became crappier than ever before. Facebook, my google account, credit card sites, online banking, even Akron Email all no longer worked! WTF! But rest assured, I will try to blog more now that I am back. So it's been a pretty interesting break! I GoT MY LICENSE! WOOP WOOP! HELL YEAH! Best feeling of accomplishment ever. And I applied for a passport for my Korea aspirations this July n.n should be here by my Birthday in February. And some little things here and there that don't immediately come to mind. Some Good Quotes of Break: "Don't worry you can still come in second. I mean, last." - Sean, Sarah's brother, to Sarah (Re:Racing game, lol) "...within the margarine of error..." - Mom "NO, NO, Andrew! Push me AND SPIN ME!" - Sarah while we were sledding at midnight, but her phone called Ke...
